Nel 1507, Cesare riesce a evadere dalla fortessa e entra al servizio di Jean d'Albret e della sua sposa Caterina di Navarra. Il re gli conferisce il comando del suo esercito per combattere contro il re Ferdinando d'Aragona. In Vaticano, una taglia di 5000 ducati viene offerta per la cattura di Cesare. Intanto, a Ferrara, Lucrezia tenta di mettere fine alla lotta sanguinosa a cui si danno i fratelli d'Este. // In 1507, Cesare manages to escape from the fortress and puts himself in the service of Jean d'Albret and his wife Catherine of Navarre. The king puts him in charge of his army to fight against king Ferdinand of Aragon. In the Vatican, a bounty of 5000 ducats is offered for Cesare's capture. Meanwhile, in Ferrara, Lucrezia tries to put an end to the bloody fight the d'Este brothers are engaged in.
