TRAMA: SI SVOLGE UN MATRIMONIO REALE MA CHI SCEGLIE MARIA? - Con un matrimonio forzato alle porte, Maria deve considerare sia il proprio cuore che la propria nazione nel decidere con chi si sposerà - Francis o Bash - quando Francis torna a corte con Lola al suo fianco. Ulteriori complicazione è l'arrivo della madre di maria, Marie de Guise, che visita il castello con le proprie idee su Maria. La presenza di Marie inquieta Re Enrico e la Regina Caterina, che hanno i loro piani per il futuro della Francia, non importa chi ne soffrirà. // A ROYAL WEDDING OCCURS BUT WHO DOES MARY CHOOSE? — With a forced marriage looming, Mary (Adelaide Kane) must consider both her heart and her nation when deciding whom she will wed – Francis (Toby Regbo) or Bash (Torrance Coombs) – when Francis returns to court with Lola (Anna Popplewell) at his side. Further complicating matters is Mary’s mother, Marie de Guise (guest star Amy Brenneman), who visits the castle with her own agenda for Mary. Marie’s presence worries King Henry (Alan Van Sprang) and Queen Catherine (Megan Follows), who have their own plan for the future of France, regardless of who gets hurt in the process. x

CITAZIONE]Alcune menzogne aleggiano per la corte francese questa settimana, non solo bugie insignificanti ma anche grandi storie di sotterfugio, che potrebbero cambiare il corso della storia europea per sempre. Alcune sono facili da individuare o vengono alla luce alla fine dell'episodio, un'altra viene scoperta da un personaggio che, quando incontra la disapprovazione per quell'atto, sfida uno dei bugiardi. Ma il più grande inganno di tutti è qualcosa che solo il pubblico scoprirà per ora, e non riesco a immaginare il possessore di questo oscuro segreto che volerlo condividere con molti altri nel futuro prossimo.
Caterina de' Medici viene condotta in stracci per prepararsi all'esecuzione, c'è così tanto da fare col poco budget che Enrico le concede e trova già difficile capire dove concentrare la sua energia, e poi la cosa peggiore che possa accadere a una festa accade, un'imbucata si autoinvita al castello. Chiunque sappia della presenza sullo schermo della guest star Amy Brenneman sarà ansioso di vederla scontarsi con Megan Follows, e sono felice di dire che non deludono perché la Regina Reggente di Scorzia e la Regina di Francia si danno battaglia a corte, ognuna nel tentativo di raggiungere il proprio obbiettivo.
Quindi arriviamo al matrimonio, cosa posso dire, probabilmente non tanto quanto vorreste che dicessi, tempo. La cerimonia in sé è abbastanza breve, considerando quanto c'è voluto per arrivarci, ma è comunque bella, con un'atmosfera fiabesca, e, più importante, come il titolo dell'episodio suggerisce, viene consumata e quindi è legale e vincolante. Per quanto riguarda quale fratello si sposi e perché, be', una visione di Nostradamus protrebbe avere qualcosa da dire su ciò, o potrebbe Caterina, sicuramente l'arvà Enrico e sono sicura che Marie de Guise sarà piena di preziosi consigli, anche. Ma alla fine sarà Maria a scegliere, per una volta, il proprio destino?

There’s a few lies flying around the French court in this week, not just little fibs but great tales of subterfuge too, ones that could change the course of European history for ever. Some are pretty easy to spot or come to light by the end of the episode, another is worked out by one character, whom when met with disapproval of their own act, challenges one of the deceivers. But the biggest deception of all is something only we the audience become privy to for now, and I can’t see the holder of this dark secret wanting to share it with many people any time soon.
Catherine de Medici is being run ragged preparing for her beheading, there’s so much to do on the tight budget that Henry is allowing her that she’s already finding it hard to know where to focus her energy, and then the worst thing that can happen at a party happens, a gate crasher invites herself to the castle. Anyone who is aware of guest star Amy Brenneman screen presence will I am sure be eager to see her face off against Megan Follows, and I'm happy to report that they do not disappoint as the Scots’ Queen Regent and Queen of France battle it out at court, each trying to achieve their own personal goal.
So on to the wedding, what can I say, probably not as much as you’d like me to I'm afraid. The ceremony itself is fairly brief considering how long it’s taken to get to it, but still beautiful with has a fairytale like quality to it, and most importantly, as the title of the episode suggests, it is consummated and therefore legal and binding. As to which brother gets married and why, well a Nostradamus vision may have something to say about it, or Catherine might, Henry almost certainly will, and I’m sure Marie de Guise will be full of helpful advice too. But in the end will Mary, for once, choose her own fate?

Questo show è scivolato nell'incommentabile, davvero. Gli ultimi due episodi sono stati approssimativamente 45 minuti di WHAT THE FUCK EVER, soprattutto questo - e il prossimo non promette bene PER NIENTE . Se non fosse per Caterina e pochi altri -NON i protagonisti- avrei smesso di seguire da parecchio. Sto aspettando che lei mie predizioni fosche si avverino per prendere una decisione. In ogni caso LOL, la scena non tagliata della consumazione prometteva di essere un porno, e invece è venuto fuori che sono dieci secondi netti di gambe in più. #are you kidding me .
